Ottawa City Woodshop- Maple Serving Board
These beautiful hard wood boards are made by hand by Martin Thornell, the co-owner of the Ottawa City Woodshop They are accented with a strip of a specialty hardwood such as walnut or cherry. Once complete, the boards are finished with a food safe blend of flaxseed (or grapeseed) oil and beeswax with a drop or two of lemon oil.
Approximately 11” x 9”.
How to care for your board:
After use, wipe with a clean, damp cloth and allow to dry. It is best to avoid immersing the board in wate and it should never be placed in the dishwasher. With use, the wax/oil finish will be removed. When the board begins to look dull, apply a fresh coat of flaxseed, grapeseed, coconut or mineral oil. Alternatively, many kitchen or hardware stores carry products labelled cutting board or salad bowl oil, which may also be used.
