Widely used in Thai cuisine. Grows well commercially as well as a potted plant. Market gardeners also use it as flowers for floral arrangements.
Companion plants: Asparagus, Borage, Chamomile, Oregano, Chives, Marigold, Pepper, Root veggies, Tomato.
Far from: Rue, Sage, Cucumber, Fennel.
Planting tip: Sow seeds 6 weeks before the last frost. Germination can take up to 8-14 days.
Harvesting tip: Pinch leaves as needed and encourages the plant to produce more. Flower impacts flavour so, harvest before. Encourage second-growth by cutting down 6” above ground. Storage tip: Store at 0°C unwashed as washing turns them brown.
