Aromatic sage that is often used in soups and stuffing. Gray leaves can be bunched together and dried for ceremonial purpose.
Companion plants: Carrot, Tomato, Parsley, Strawberry, Rosemary, Beans, Thyme, Nasturtium, Oregano, Brassicas.
Far from: Fennel, Rue, Cucumber, Wormwood.
Planting tip: Sow 6–8 weeks before last frost or direct sow outside in clumps of 3–4 seeds, ¼” deep. When starting indoors, bottom-water and avoid covering the seeds with displaced soil.
Harvesting tip: Harvest when 3-4 flowers have opened up. Use fresh or dried flower. Hang to dry.
