Densely curled and vibrant purple leaves that intensify in cooler temperature. Decent yield variety for spring and fall.
Companion plants: Potato, Beets, Lettuce, Chard, Peas, Alliums, Radish, Spinach, Celery, Cucumber, Aromatic herbs.
Far from: Tomato, Strawberry, Grape, Rue. Planting tip: Direct sow as soon as the soil can be worked. It can be started indoors 4 weeks before the planting date. For fall plantings sow 2 months before first expected frost.
Harvesting tip: Harvest at the desired size. Flavor sweetens with light frost.
Storage tip: Cooling in water after harvest recommended. It can be stored in the refrigerator for a few weeks.
