Against the Grain is Shelley Spruit. For the last 30 years Shelley has been a grain farmer, baker and chef, ancient grain restorer and researcher. Their grains are hand selected from around the world for their nutritional properties. Their farm is located in Mountain, ON. 

ÄLSKA FARM

Älska Farm is owned and operated by Genevieve and Gabriel. They raise pasture grazing cows and make amazing maple syrup. 

Fieldless Farms

Fieldless Farms is a new indoor farm in Cornwall, ON. It uses controlled environment agriculture technology. Product is meticulously grown in ideal conditions with no herbicides or pesticides. 



Ganden Gardens

Ganden Gardens is owned and operated by the Jordan Family. They grow awesome flowers in Winchester, ON.

Gibbs Honey

Beekeeping has been a Gibbs family tradition for four more than eight decades. Today, the Gibbs Honey tradition is proudly being carried on by Andrea and Russell. Their farm is located in Vankleek Hill, Ontario, just 20 minutes from the original family farm where it all began.



Gingham Wisdom

Gingham Wisdom is run by Gisele. In addition to their great products, they provide workshops on the basics of making home-made goods like laundry soap, jams and preserves, and other simple pleasures.



The Ketchup Project

The Ketchup Project is owned and run by David Schaub. He makes darn good ketchup and some other seasonal stuff too. 

Mariposa Farm

Mariposa farm is owned and run by Suzanne and Ian. They are pillars in Ottawa's restaurant community. Their farm specializes in ducks, geese and chemical free sustainable agriculture. These two humans are generous and inspiring and we are so fortunate to have their products available at Burrow Shop.

Merrifield Farms

Merrifield Farms is a family run producer of grass fed, free range chicken. Their method uses a mobile barn that lets the chickens choose their environment and pasture land. 

Nat's Bread Company

Natali has been crafting her sourdough recipes for so many of Ottawa's restaurants, shops and markets for years. She has dedicated her career to producing old world, well-crafted bread. She uses all Canadian ingredients and her signature starter named Stan. We are so happy to have her fresh sourdough breads on offer at Burrow Shop. You can even buy some baby Stans!

Pietro's Pasta

Pietro's Pasta offers fresh homemade pasta and fresh gluten free pasta. Yes that's right, FRESH gluten free pasta! 



Rideau Pines Farm

Rideau Pines Farm is owned and operated by the Vandenberg family and well known across Ottawa's food service community. The farm is situated on Fourth Line Road in North Gower, ON.

Seed to Sausage

Driven by his passion and love for cured meats, Mike McKenzie began selling his exquisite products through his company, Seed to Sausage.  After travelling the World for the Canadian military, Mike acquired a taste for quality artisanal meats.  Upon returning to Canada Mike saw a demand in the market for deliciously, healthy salami and sausages.  He began studying and working alongside chefs and sausage makers throughout Europe before opening his business in 2011.  Today, Seed to Sausage is a thriving small business serving over eight hundred locations with a range of products from cured meats to steaks, provisions and delicious cheeses.  

Thirteen A Social Enterprise (13:ASE)

Thirteen A Social Enterprise (13:ASE) is an entrepreneurial program of the Parkdale Food Centre. 13:ASE engages youth facing barriers to employment in the operation of a social enterprise. By engaging participants in all aspects of business decisions and development, in a collaborative and supported space, this program helps participants gain strong emotional and social skills as well as confidence in themselves and their future. 13:ASE also serves as an entry point into the labour market. It provides a supportive first work experience and the opportunity to build a social and professional network. The skills that participants and peer mentors develop through 13:ASE are directly related to the barriers they face, including lack of experience, limited community connections and language barriers.
